Telespike Mini is a complete, all-in-one data acquisition telemetry system used to record the neural activity of mice and other smaller animals with unrestricted movement. |

|
|
An extremely lightweight 2.7g transmitter sits directly on the animals head and secures directly into the electrode array connector. The transmitter streams 5 full spike and LFP channels to the receiver while the animal is free to move around in an open environment. A receiver, which can be up to 3 meters (9.8 ft) away, transmits the signal via USB to the recording computer, where easy-to-use, flexible software allows complete data access. |

The Telespike Mini software allows the researcher to command the entire experiment. Continuous spike, segmented spike, and local field potential channels are displayed on-screen. |

Additional analog and digital inputs are also logged and recorded to easily synchronize behavioral or video tracking systems. |

Unrestricted movement. A wireless signal means the animal is free to move around the experimental area without restrictions. It’s no longer necessary to deal with issues related to tethered setups, such as entanglement, modified behavior, restricted pathways, and wire degradation from animal chewing. |

Lightweight transmitter. An extremely light, 1g preamp
rests on the animals head to immediately amplify the signal, while a lightweight 35g backpack powers the unit and transmits the data wirelessly. A variety of jacket options are available to secure the transmitter while ensuring complete maneuverability of the animal. |

Long transmission range. A 3m (9.8 ft) signal range ensures reliable and complete recordings from anywhere in the recording room. |

Long battery life. A 2.5 hour battery comes standard with the system. External battery options are available to meet the demands of longer experiments. |

Rechargeable battery. A rechargeable battery makes it easy to quickly begin another trial. The battery charges in under 1 hour, making it easy to run several trials in the same day. Additionally, multiple transmitters can be continuously swapped to allow for back-to-back recording sessions. |

Complete workstation. Despite its compact size, the TeleSpike Mini is a full data acquisition system, allowing researchers to record 8 or 16 spike and LFP channels simultaneously. Additionally, analog and digital inputs allow the user to display, record, and synchronize other signals as well, making the TeleSpike Mini a complete microelectrode recording workstation. |

Analog and digital inputs. The system includes 4 analog inputs and 16 digital inputs, read as either as a whole word or as individual bits, and displays and records these inputs, making it easy to synchronize the system with behavioral data or video tracking systems. |

Save disk space. Choose to save or not to save any of the following signals for each channel: continuous spike, continuous LFP, segmented spike waveforms, analog inputs, and digital inputs. Or save trials based on a digital trigger to ensure only the target data is saved. |

Audio options. Researchers can listen to the audio of one continuous analog channel, either during acquisition or while replaying recorded data. |

Easy to setup. The Telespike Mini system is easy to setup. Simply connect the USB cable and power cord to the receiver and open the software to begin the experiment. It’s simple to move the system to different recording areas as needed. |

Open file format. Files are easily converted to other file formats, including text, matlab, Plexon, CED, and wavefile for post-experiment analysis. |
